# What should I do in a blackout or emergency?

## Do not call us in an emergency: call your local network company. They control the poles, wires, and energy flows.

Do not call us. Call your local network company.

Your local network company is responsible for maintaining the electricity grid infrastructure in your area, and is also responsible for restoring it in the event that it fails.

If you call us we will be unable to help you, and will refer you to your local network company.
