In keeping with our efforts to inform customers of our company progress and developments, we are pleased to announce that iO Energy now has its own wholesale NEM (National Electricity Market) PID (Participant ID).
What this means is that iO Energy is now a full and active participant in Australia's wholesale electricity market, in contrast to our early days when we 'went to market' under the umbrella of our licensed retail partner Energy Locals.
To most customers this will not have an obvious effect, however, it is another step in the right direction and means that iO Energy is positioned to independently negotiate better energy procurement contracts with renewable generators, of the kind that supports Australian homes and businesses to pay less for clean electricity.
